Artistic Statement for World Signage

Beginning in ancient times, there have been signs to advertise some product. In this playful series, I hope my viewers  will interject their own spin on my juxtaposition of signs to environment. Beginning in 2001, I have been documenting World Signage on the streets of Paris and Rome, Chennai and other cities in India and of course in the USA. As I have shot these images, some questions have occurred to me, such as, what societal values are reflected in the signage of different countries? Watch this site for future updates as I add images from my upcoming trips to China, Europe and India.
